Q and A from CosmosHOSS
What made you get involved with crypto?
Well Covid happened and for the first time in a long time I actually had some free time to do whatever I wanted. Shortly afterwards I entered into the crypto market. Typically like most do I gravitated to the ‘most shilled’, BTC and ETH. But a few months into the crypto grind I understood there were a lot of limitations with POW and wanted better tech/ better solutions with little to no friction so I found Cosmos and IBC.
What made you stay?
I am glad I did as for the first time I truly felt a part of this communitarian approach with how decentralized IBC is and how active governance is along with how active and engaging the devs and founders are of each app chain as well. Not only that, I found this space to be exhilarating while continuously evolving at rapid speeds.
Biggest hurdles you’ve faced during your time?
Venturing off to non IBC chains can be challenging, I have been scammed in my Solana journey; also, it can be hard at times to unplug from the matrix and enjoy life outside of my computer. FOMO is real.
How did you build your following?
It all started with me getting up the courage to request to speak in a Friday night Cosmos twitter space around Thanksgiving of 2021. A few gentlemen were chatting about Cosmos then asked a few questions which I knew the answer to from my time helping out with Osmosis as a TG mod. That same space started with about 6 of us and shot up to a couple hundred people. It motivated me to start creating content, doing spaces and partially doxing myself. I have participated in a significant amount of spaces, threads, giveaways, and volunteering hundreds of hours of my time to help the community and various projects in this space. My main prerogative is to help others and speak from me heart with passion. I feel my style reverberates to others. That has been my mission since day 1.
Why are you bullish on Cosmos?
The community has embraced me since I started my journey, this fact alone makes me bullish on the IBCGang and the communitarian approach that ensues. The tech stands for itself, I have met hundreds of devs including others from non IBC chains and no one really has anything bad to say about the TECH.
Who has been the biggest inspiration to your work?
I would have to say my wife on this one. I have spent thousands of hours in this space, most of the time away from her and she truly accepts my passion and is very supportive. Also, she helps me with a lot of my ideas and visual content.
What does Caliber mean to me?
So I find marketing in crypto to be very poor especially when it comes to finding reliable resources that span the entire crypto realm of things.
Caliber is building out a chain agnostic approach that truly gives the creators freedom to explore while helping with resources and support.
